Universally praised for her “compelling and communicative” artistry, Antigoni Goni is a celebrated Greek guitarist and scholar of the British Council, Royal Academy and Juilliard School. Her career blossomed after winning the Guitar Foundation of America Competition, leading to over 65 concerts in North America and recordings with Naxos. She has since performed worldwide in prestigious halls such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in New York, and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
Her latest solo album, Hymn to the Muse, celebrates Greek heritage, and her multimedia project, Medio Siglo, pays tribute to luthier José Luis Romanillos. Goni is the founder of the Juilliard Pre- College Guitar Department and currently serves as a professor and member of the Artistic Committee at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, where she also created The Brussels Guitar Laboratory and directs The Volterra Project in Tuscany.
